Here for You is a performance developed as part of the exhibition Rebellious Forms at Stavanger Art Museum. Over three days in 2023, dancers brought soft sculptures from the museum into the streets around Arneageren Square and Sølvberget Library and Culture House, turning familiar urban structures into sites of playful intervention.
Resembling protective padding or safety cushions, the sculptures are covered in black-and-white patterns inspired by dazzle camouflage. The dancers wrap them around their bodies, benches, railings, bicycle stands and drainpipes. These small disruptions question the unspoken rules governing how public space is used.
At the end of each performance, the audience was invited to try the sculptures themselves, inventing their own gestures and uses. The actions are documented in a two-channel video installation.
